The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. The huge wave of change is nearing the shore. The clarion call of freedom has been heard and is being responded to, with long lines of Americans waiting to cast their votes.
The Neo Republican anger is also rising as they see their death grip on the throat of the American Dream slipping from their hands. These narrow minded and narrow focused neocons are nearing the end of their tenure and are reverting to form, in ways that are harmful to America. The slurs and accusations are becoming taunts. Outright lies are spewing forth from the mouths of desperate bullies bloodied in the arena of conscience. The panic is palpable as they thrash about looking for a new slogan (“Joe the Plumber”, “Barack the Commie” “Socialism and UnAmerican”) to distract the people from Republican failures and lack of moral dignity that has guided us on a horrific journey for 8 long years.
Two more weeks of divisive and disheartening rhetoric will sweep across the country like a cold wind. A chill will be cast over the body politic in vain attempts at vote suppression. Motive mincing pundits and the hate jocks of AM radio will be screaming non stop to drown out the bell of justice that now rings loud and clear. All to no avail.
The American people have seen their dreams dashed on the rocky shores of greedy men. They have seen their children’s futures being sold to the highest offer in a no bid neocon world. 8 years of lies and sleight of hand have injured our military as the likes of Rumsfeld and Cheney have profited from the bloodshed. The political agenda of usurpers like Rove and his minions of deceit have allowed the rape of the American economy to be their priority and they have failed. They have sullied the honor Americans have fought and died for by allowing torture to be accepted into the lexicon of hope that America stands for. 8 long, long years, 4000+ dead and an economy in collapse is their legacy and the people can stand no more.
Follow the light and stand in the wave as it washes these little men from the sand castles of fear they have built. The hard rain will pass, leaving the light of the American Dream undimmed.
