The endorsement of Obama by Colin Powell is a call to honor. It proves that the power of truth lives on.
A man of respect and knowledge has stepped up and challenged the slurs and oft repeated deceptions of a campaign that is seeking to divide and destroy the heart of the American Dream. A campaign born of hate and low expectations of the American people. Colin Powell has stood up and denied the scurrilous tactics being practiced by desperate men who will do anything to keep their stranglehold on the soul of America. A horrific campaign has been dismissed as narrow minded and divisive. A campaign much like an open wound seeping onto the body politic.
Colin Powell in his eloquent and humble manner has shown that truth trumps hate, that honor demands justice and that America, with all its foibles, is the still the standard bearer for all the good that we the people hold dear.
I applaud you Colin Powell, and I applaud the Dream.
